Panda courtesy of the SHIG himself! Murky orange-golden body, off-white head. Grainy, malty aroma, light red apple and stone fruit esters, spice touches, light cloves. Lean, dry, bitter taste, nutty touches,caramel, herbal bitter notes, alcohol, citric notes showing up, orange peel, warming... not particularly tripelish at first, it kinda grows into one. Not unpleasant, but not the best tripel around. Also, a Drenthe tick, so yaaay!

Bottle. Color: Dark murky brown, beige head. Aroma: Caramel, dark fruit, sweetish, boozy, peaty. Taste: Dark malt and some roasted malt, sugary, molasses, caramel, peaty Whisky and some dark fruit. Over moderate sweet and moderate to over moderate hopbitter. Hints of nuts. Boozy notes. Bittery palate at dry-ish peaty finish. Herbal hints. Over medium to full body, just below average carbonation. Very nice one, well balanced BA but missing a bit of the complexity of the base beer 1818.

Panda 🐼 at home thanks to Shig. A light hazed deep orange coloured pour witha lasting loose off white head. Aroma is semi sweet, cinnamon, light wet grass, some spices, nutmeg, apple. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty malts, toffee, grass, light spice, , bit middled Palate is semi sweet, alcohol, high carbonation. Orange peel.

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 12/06/22. Hazed orange to light amber with a decent off white covering. Nose is stewed fruits, herb, hedgerow, toasted grains. Taste comprises bitter fruit shreds, yeast esters, light spice, grains, candied fruit rinds, caramel. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a spike of alcohol. Decent enough Tripel ... doesn't go run away sweet.

30cl Fles, gekocht bij de brouwerij. Half jaartje over datum. Mistig goudgele kleur, witte kraag. Typisch tripel, rode appels, appelmoes, licht kruidig, wat banaan, licht bloemig, citrusschil, degelijk bitter, theeblaadjes. Medium body. Prima tripel, verwacht alleen geen hopfeest.
