Nice clear amber color with a fine head. Looks fine and inviting. Very pleasant aroma. Toffee and dried fruits. Also a fine carbonation level. Pleasant and easy to drink. Oily texture. A mix between an English strong ale and a quad this one. Quite malty and toffee dominated with a pleasant dried fruit profile. A bit boozy and some alcohol in the flavor also.

50cl bottle at home on 17th Jan 2019, poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard. Clear copper body, large billowing pillow of bubbles for a head. Rich malty brew with a dry hoppy finish which contrasts the initial sweetness from the malts. Nice!

Pour is a cloudy tan with a large white head. Aroma is some green hop and a biscuit malt. All are very mellow. Flavor is a pretty light maris otter grain with some basement must. I agree with some of the raters on here that this is a bit watery but I'm sure having this beer fresh on cask in some ancient British Inn would change the rating completely.

500ml bottle into a UK pint sleeve on 31st Dec 2018. One of the last beers I shall rate this year (some old friends will be drank later). Lovely clear amber/bronze body, off-white head. Malty and semi-sweet over a good hop base, which gives a pleasant woody overtone to the brew, nice 'Winter Warmer' without going 'over the top' spice or alcohol wise. An easy drinking beer all round.

2015 bottle off a shelf at a store. Licorice chocolate syrup beer. Not heavy but felt. Bitter black malt lingers at the end. Nice English yeast character and has aged fine. 838316

Draft at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours amber gold with limited white foam, very fine. Aroma is sweet, of malt, biscuit, liquor. Body is fairly dense, with very limited carbonation and a bit of stickiness. Taste is intensely sweet, with some bitterness to balance it. Finish is long and sweet. For lovers of good old sweet beers.

Frothy off white head stayed on a translucent tea coloured body. Heavy malt & demerara aroma. Full bodied, thick & oily over the the tongue with a cloying finish. Malt, tea, spices, brown sugar, spices & dark berry tastes.
