Chocolate malt and dry hay aroma. Chestnut brown with small head. Mildly sweet chocolate toffee malt and mildly bitter dry hay flavor. Good body. Nice solid porter.

Bottle split at CBC Covent Garden, thanks to LKS, 20/11/18. Hazed golden amber with a decent egg shell white covering. Nose is dusty fruits, straw, brown bread, biscuit crumbs. Taste comprises stewed fruits, biscuit malt, light spice, herb, toffee. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so.

Bottle. Pours clear dark yellow with tiny white head. Aroma is malt, sweet apples, hops (grass and flowers) and hints of iron. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter. Body is watery with light carbonation. Finish is short and light bitter with notes of malt, hops and hints of orange and cloves.

Dark beige creamy head left a good cover on a very dark brown still body. Caramel, malt & dark chocolate aroma. Medium bodied, smooth on the palate with a greasy feel & clean aft. Rich dark chocolate, malt, demerara & fruit spice tastes followed by a very light citrus finish. Very nice......

50 cl bottle @ home. BBE 19.09.2020. Aroma has licorice and funky yeasty tones. Flavour has licorice, funky yeasty tones, Belgian vibes and mild spicy tones. Not a black IPA by taste and a bit unusual otherwise too. But I like it.

Bottle shared at craft beer Co Covent Garden. 20/11/2018. Many thanks to Leighton. A clear amber coloured pour with a halo of off white head. Aroma is waxy honey, cereal, jammy, dried fruits, little stale. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, jammy, dried fruits, light cake,. Palate is waxy, moderate carbonation. Not bad.

Craft TCR Bottleshare. Thanks to Leighton for the antique. Clear amber beer, decent cream colour head. Palate is light and fairly dry, decent fine carbonation. Crisp oxidised malts, mildly tangy caramel. Little tangy floral fruits. Light dry finish. Clearly aged but fairly drinkable. If you have no shame. I haven't.
