20th March 2023. Monthly Beer Share, Chez Sophie in Shrewsbury; five guys who love beer and talk bollox while drinking. Cheers Simon for this 'well out of date' 440ml can of beer. Black bodied, tanned wispy head. Peat Bog Whisky aroma and taste, interesting but too 'peaty' for my palate really.

440ml can @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, March 23. Dark brown pour, off white head. Huge peated Islay nose, taste delivers the expected big nutty peaty Islay TCP peatbog flavours, fairly intense. Good to try a brewery that no longer exists but was a struggle for me, as most Islay BA beers are. Rated according to style.

Black with thin head. Aroma and flavour are initially quite grassy. Dark malts, with a touch of liquorice. Loads of peaty, smokey, leather, ash notes. Woody too.
