17/01/2020. Cask at the 11th Elysian Winter Beer Festival. Pours almost black with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt, hops, fruit, dark chocolate and a touch of veg. Light to moderate sweetness, medium plus bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average to soft carbonation.Aniseed comes through in finish. It's ok but lacks the punch of stronger abv'd black IPA's.
