473ml can. Hazy, yellow-ish, deep and bright golden colour with average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Homogeneous, amalgamated, piney, grassy, tropical and citrusy fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of lemon, melon, woody pineapple, a touch of mango, oaty malty background, yeasty spicy overtones with a touch of mustard seed. Taste is sweet-ish, minimally sugary, oaty malty as well as mildly bitter, fruity hoppy, slightly alcoholic, slightly diluted notes of orange, mandarine, lemon, melon, some mango, yeasty spicy whiffs of mustard seed; minimally warming, alcoholic finish. Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, slightly dry palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Seemingly light, dangerously drinkable, interesting yeasty spiciness, a tad too sweet and sugary - good.

Not super pastry on draft but delish. Balanced nicely between the coconut and the double vanilla. And nice barrel presence as always. I miss this place!

On tap at Celestial Beerworks, pours black with a tiny head. Aroma brings out dusty peanut butter, a little cocoa, and plenty of powdered sugar. Flavour is full of powdered sugar, followed by peanut butter powder and a little cocoa. Too sweet and adjunct-dominated for me without the complementary roasted malt or at least sturdy malt base I want from an imperial stout. It's well-made but just not to my taste.

On tap at Celestial Beerworks, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out the maple upfront, followed by coffee and a hint of vanilla, which support a big malt base. Flavour is bold, with intense maple and coffee upfront, accentuated by vanilla and a roasted malt base. Big and sturdy; that maple is a bit too forward for my tastes, but it's clearly a well-made beer. Very good in small amounts.

On tap at Celestial Beerworks, pours a hazy darker golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out some mineraly notes, with light grassy hops, and straw. Flavour seems under-hopped, with light tangy -- almost tart -- hops, with grass and straw. I want more hopping here and less (almost-)tartness. It's clean and drinkable, but lacks that crisp bitterness that I want in a pilsner, and lacks the tangy hop character I want from NZ hops. Okay.
