Description
On St. Patrick’s Day 2007, Double Mountain Brewery & Taproom was unveiled to a thirsty public. Double Mountain was founded by Matt Swihart and Charlie Devereaux with a clear mission: make great beer for craft beer fans! Ours is a “brewers’ brewery”, with an uncompromising focus on beer quality. From the beginning, our goal was to make beers that we liked to drink. All of our beers are served up unfiltered and long-aged, to deliver maximum flavor and character. The beers can be very complex and assertive, but with the ultimate goal of proper balance. We aim to satisfy both the hardcore aficionados and the more casual craft beer fan, all in the same glass.

500 mL bottle poured. Pours a fizzy orange cooper color. Fresh hops aroma from a distance. Sweet light apple juice like flavor with a long sweet finish. Touch of caramel. Majority of the hops are in the aroma. Good flavor though. Nice fresh hop here.

Pour is a murky brown with a large tan head. Aroma is full of piney hop resin and some caramel malt. Flavor is more of a dank hop with a large sweet malt with some notes of molasses and sugar covered berries. This was more of a strong ale than IPA. Still this was quite tasty with a sweet but not overly heavy malt and the hop are there lingering in the backround.

Draft - Lots of orange peel and a caramel backbone. Hazy orange with a decent beige head. Orange and bitter peel with a long bitter finish. Sweet, caramel and bitterness, but not really interesting.
