Description
Mr Bees Brewery is based on the beautiful Suffolk Coast. Our beer is produced using only the finest ingredients, sourced locally. All the malted barley comes from Suffolk and we use only the finest quality English hops. We finish all our beers with honey from our own hives as this helps to enhance beer taste and aids conditioning. We produduce casks for trade and bottles for individual customers.

Bottle thanks to Grumbo: Poured a caramel orange with a beige colored head. Aroma is biscuit, malty, caramel. Taste is bitter forward, earthy, light fruits, caramel, malty, biscuit.

Bottle thanks to Grumbo: Poured a dark amber brown with a tan colored head. Aroma is rich roasted barley, fruity hops, honey. Taste is roasted malts, splash of honey, fruity, light bitterness, ashy.

Bottle thanks to Grumbo: Poured a reddish orange amber with a frothy white head. Aroma is a rich malt, fruity, honey, earthy. Taste is bitter, honey, floral, earthy, rich malts, smooth finish.

22/8/2021. Bottle bought direct from the brewery. Pours dark ruby brown with a small beige head. Aroma is malty, dried fruits, chocolate, toffee, molasses, hint of honey. Medium sweetness and bitterness with moderate body. Oily texture, average carbonation. Bittersweet finish, with a slight smoked edge developing. Not bad.

12/6/2021. Bottle bought direct from the brewery. Pours clear deep ruby brown with a small frothy white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, dried fruit, nut, touch of honey and liquorice. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium plus body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Rich and tasty, one of Mr Bees best.

5/6/2021. Bottle bought direct from the brewery. A 3.7% golden which does its job perfectly well. Aroma is light, malty, fruit, caramel biscuit, touch of honey. Medium plus sweetness picking up on the honey nicely, moderate bitterness. Light to moderate body, soft carbonation. Easy drinking and very sessionable.

30/5/2021. Bottle shared with Dan and ITFCfan, bought direct from the brewery. Pours clear golden amber with a small bubbly frothy white head. Aroma of sweet malt, citrus, grass, honey. Medium sweetness and light to moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Quite drinkable.

500ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo - cheers Graham!]. Jet black colour with small to average, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Roasty dark malty and sweet-ish, honey aroma, hints of chocolate, dark chocolate, some honey. Taste is dry, slightly bitter, roasty dark malty, minmally floral, bitter hoppy, notes of dark chocolate, Belgian chocolate, subtle hints of honey, a minimally dry, oaty touch as well. Creamy-watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally repellent-metallic palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Quite dry, the honey is widely co-fermented and adds, if any, then only very subtle sweetness - nice.

500ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo - cheers Graham!]. Clear, chestnut colour with wonderful ruby shimmer and small to average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white head. Floral and slightly fruity, hoppy and minimally toasty, malty aroma, notes of petals, a touch of red berries, whiffs of dark honey. Taste is minimally sweet, toasty malty, floral and minimally fruity hoppy, minimally diluted hints of dark honey, a touch of red berries, dark fruit, minimally metallic interludes. Quicksilver texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously minmally dry, repellent palate, fine, soft carbonation. Well integrated, cautious hints of honey - pretty decent.

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 16/05/21. Rich mahogany brown veering towards black with a beige head that dissipates edgewards. Nose is fruit slice, herb, brown bread, light brown sugar dusting. Taste comprises dried fruits, light honey nip, dark malts, light herb, biscuit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close. Passable affair.
