Seth Wood, our Brewmaster and co-owner, has over ten years of experience in making beer and perfecting his craft. The result is our farmhouse style beers- saisons, barrel aged ales, award-winning sour ales and lagers, all passionately crafted on site and in small batches. The beers are reminiscent of the Old Country- France, Belgium, Germany, and will make you think and feel of simpler times. Cheers!

Capped 750 from Final Gravity. Pours dark copper with a beige head. Berry fruit aroma - with some oxidized wood. Med + body. Flavor is very berry, and there is a bit of spice to go with it. Fair amount of oak/wood astringency. If you like strong beer with berry flavors, try this. With time I realized it’s a bit acidic.

Capped and corked 750 shared by Marcus. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is sort of smooth sour berry. Near med body. Flavor is berry, light stone fruit, wood astringency, And smooth, decently sour. Quite tasty. Not a wrenching sour at all.

[2/3/16] Draught at Jupiter in Berkeley. Pale yellow. Aroma of pickled vegetables, a bit lemony. Tart flavor, lemony, lactic, pickled vegetables. Quite light-bodied. Not the best Berliner.

[1/30/16] Bottle sample at the Encomium bottle share, after RateBeer Best awards ceremony at Hyatt Vineyard Creek Hotel in Santa Rosa. Thanks everyone who shared bottles! Cloudy orange. Sour aroma with vinegar, fruitiness. Sour flavor with oak, fruitiness, some vinegar. Medium-bodied.

Draft a the brewpub. Red / mahogany brown coloured pour with a small fading light tan head. Aroma is nice fresh brewed, woody. Earthy coffee. Flavour is composed of smooth roasted barley, rich earthy coffee, hint of ash and some cakey notes to soften it. Woody. Palate is semi sweet, medium bodied, rounded. Good.really nice the coffee character.

Draft a the brewpub. Bright golden coloured pour with a lasting fine white head. Aroma is a little apple, green apple, wood, semi sweet grains, light staling. Flavour is compose of bland like grains, semi sweet, woody and some light apple. Palate is semi sweet and flabby. Moderate to low carbonation. Bland lager.

Draft a the brewpub. Bright golden orange coloured pour with a small halo of white head. Aroma is sweet earthy honey, vanilla, some stale grains, wood. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, honey, some earthy, faint Belgian yeast character. Palate is a little thin, semi sweet, medium light bodied. Hint of chalk. Decent.

Draft a the brewpub. 5%. Hazed mid brown / amber coloured pour with a fading beige head. Aroma is nice funky sour wood and malt vinegar, horsey funk. Flavour is composed of dry crisp sournes,woody tannin, granny smith apple, pithy citrus acid. Palate is super dry, pithy, high carbonation, spicy finish. Nice valanced complex sour.

Draft a the brewpub. 5%. Hazed onion brown coloured pour with a lasting greyish cream head. Aroma is weird, woody, mouldy, raw ginger root, woody. Flavour is composed of mouldy wood and wet dog funk, spicy ginger and lemon, wood tannin. Palate is tangy, medium light bodied, highish carbonation. Weird one. More wet dog character.

Draft a the brewpub. Light hazed golden orange coloured pour with no head. Aroma is stick hop, floral orange, little pollen, pineapple. Flavour is composed of sweet juiced orange, tangy citrus, mild clean sourness. Little raw grains/ tannin in the finish. Palate is semi sweet and sour, moderate carbonation. Interesting hoppy sour.
