Draft. A- White wine, juniper, juicy fruit gum, lemon lime seltzer water. A- Brown color, cloudy liquid, white head. T- Gin, juniper lime, soda water. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly unbalanced finish. O- Weird but tasty. The gin is there and also a lemon lime soda aspect. Unique for sure.

Taster at the source. Almosr black pour with tan head. Aroma is mild chocolate, weak nuts, mild roasted grains.
Flavor is chocolate, roasted nuts, then earth, coffee, mild roasted grain. Light to medium body, a medium body. The texture is dry and almost chalky finish. Overall, not to shabby.

Draft at the brewery. Clear copper color mild head. Aroma of caramel,toasted grain, earth.
Flavor is lightly Yeasty then some caramel, cereal hrain, mild hop level. Light body, smooth texture, medium carbonation. Easy to drink.

Draft at the brewery. Crystal clear gold. Aroma is a nice mild grain, honey, yeast. Flavor is spot on the syle, very clean! Right on!

750 ml bottle. Vintage is 2016. Off-white Bubbley head on a pitch black stout. Aroma shows very mild bourbon, weak red grape, mild chocolate.
The barrel treatments are noticed yet still pretty mild. The pinot Noir grapes are somewhat strong. Whiskey is mildly noticed after several ounces. Mouthfeel is medium plus. For the alcohol content, the ABV is hidden pretty nicely. Very nice stout. Close to top tier in my humble opinion.

Compared side-by-side with the Double barrel variation. Thin lasting white head on top a pitch black liquid. Aroma shows me chocolate, light coffee hints, mild roast.
The flavor is of course chocolate malt like base. Mild coffee hints, some roasted malt. Body is maybe a tad thinner than I expect for a Imperial stout. Dry texture with a decent lingering coffee bitterness.

Poured into a chalice, the appearance was a soft bronzed yellow to orange color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head. Mild lace.
The aroma had some bread, grass, honey, tropical fruit and then a light funk and danky sweet onion. Somewhat crisp and juicy.
The flavor proved to be sweet and juicy with a Belgian sweet breadiness playing with a little basement funk. All comes together in the aftertaste and flowing on into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation. Lingering booziness is felt, but seems acceptable.
Overall, I do see the Tripel qualities coming forth fairly strong with a nice Americanized \"feel\" to this. Definitely worthy of having again.

Poured into a stange, the appearance was a semi-deep brown color with some amber hues along the edges. Creamy colored finger’s worth of white foamy head. Dissipates slow. Slight messy lace.
The aroma had some toast, nuts, sweet meat. Then roast and a touch of chocolate.
The flavor blends the sweet to the roast fairly nice. Some earthiness and then a touch of spice. Crisp sweet to roasty aftertaste. Touch of sweet meat in the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine for what it projected.
Overall, good as a beer. Altbier-wise, well, I want to say that \"sweet meat\" I was getting was supposed to emulate German lager yeastiness. Me, I’m not sure, but I would have this one again for me. Altbier lovers, you might like this, but I almost want to say that the brewery didn’t use a German alt yeast in this.

Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours fairly crystal clear very dark reddish brown color with a 1-2 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar. toasted oats, and dark bread; with light nuttiness, toffee, herbal, smoke, and roast/toasted earthiness. damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt and light earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toasted oats, and dark bread; with light nuttiness, toffee, herbal, pepper, smoke, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy hop and roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar. toasted oats, dark bread, light nuttiness/smoke, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great roasted bitter/sweet balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/roast bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/silky, and lightly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6%. Overall this is a very nice American porter! All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. Really great well rounded malt complexity, with nice hop balance. Spot on style example. A very enjoyable offering.

Aromas of huge grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toasted dark bread, light smoke/char, and floral/grassy earthiness. Incredible aromas with awesome balance and complexity of juicy citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate roast/bready malt notes; with great strength. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky/resinous, creamy/grainy, and slightly chalky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 8%. Overall this is an incredible Black DIPA! All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate roast/bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV. Amazing hop vibrancy with nice roast malt presence; without feeling too heavy or sweet. A highly enjoyable offering.
