Description
The Alhambra Brewery was founded in 1925 by Carlos Bouvard, owner of the malt house La Moravia in Barcelona, and Antonio Knörr, from a family with a long beer tradition. Until 1954, this would remain a small brewery with only 20 employees, a subsidiary of the malt house in Barcelona. In that year, the Damm brewery takes a majority stake in the company and the Granada plant begins its steady growth. In 1979 Damm S.A. reorganizes Cervezas Alhambra, and Cruzcampo acquires a minority stake in the company. In 1999, Cervezas Alhambra became, thanks to the purchase of the Cordoban brewer of, among other things, the beer Mezquita, the largest brewer in Andalusia. In 2006 the company was bought by the Grupo Mahou-San Miguel, the largest beer company in Spain, of which it is still part today.

Probably coming from the Andaluz, Prélaz, Lausanne. Best before 03/23, right time to try this beverage, expecting something worst, honest lager with a right note of rhum, giving a toffee, vanilla and sweet note, a bit woody, regular bitterness, 13.11.23, at Epalinges.

Not my favourite beer, a kind of industrial lager, on the better way, malty, the alcool is a bit tough and metalic, a bit fruity, 14, 11.19, in one bar at Madrid with my mother.

In one seafood restaurant at Malaga. Not a grand cru but the draft version was ok with good seafood of the region. A lager, lager that it is so common in Spain. This one is rather malty, corny, watery, some extract of hop, a bit boring, 10.08.21

In the student area in Sevilla. A basical beer that it was perfect with the hot weather for barbecue party. A lager/pils that you can find eveeywhere in Europe. This one is a bit more smooth than the cruzcampo especial, a bit corny, bitter at the end, 10.08.21

Bottle. Amber with a white head around 2cm. 6+ Aroma of brown sugar, bread, more earthy than spicy hops. Clean and sweet with obvious alcohol, moderate earthy and spicy bitterness that's modest but also a little harsh. A slightly classed up strong lager.

33 cl can from Ahorramás. A clear, pale golden pour with a sticky, foamy, web-lacing head. Aroma is very mild: honey, eucalyptus, earth, iron, caramel. Dry, slick, crisp and medium-bodied. Bitter, medium-lasting finish.
