Description

Bottle from a local supermarket. Yeasty aroma with estery notes, light fruity, some sugary notes, malt. Moderate to medium sweet, light bitter. Body is medium. Eh, an okay Belgian Ale, not nearly as bad as I expected.

Clear gold in color with a large head. Aroma was the usual green bottle skunk when first opened but quickly changed to a pleasant well balanced smell with grains forward. Taste was also well balanced with grains forward.

(Draught at Brussels Airport Zaventem, 20 Oct 2024) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, malty nose with mixed fruit, rhubarb jam and white bread. Malty, fruity taste with notes of mixed fruit, white bread, coriander, sugar and a mild gentle bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Clean and generic, overall better than expected. Nice one.

330ml bottle. UK import. 4.6% abv. Source not noted. Last of the backlog rates to bring my "new start" on Brewver bang up to date. Wasn't very keen on this one.
