Dark brown with big beige head. Aroma is a little smoked dry ham with chewy chocolate, some roast and melasses. Taste is chocolate butter, with some roast and ham. Very full bodied. Nice one.

Bottle. Darkest brown, creamy brown head. Rural roasted aroma, fatty smoke, chocolate and toast. Medium full creamy body, chocolate butter, dry roasted grain, smoke, roast finish and aftertaste. Like a fancy chocolate cake served under a smoke gloche on a plate recycled from dung.

Bottle, many thanks Cuso. Opaque brown color with beige head. Aroma is chocolate, lots of roast, light ham, a bit buttery. Taste is chocolate cream, mousse au chocolat, some ham. Very velvety mouthfeel with natural carbonation. I like!

Bottle. Dark brown, almost black, great brown head, very fine. Dark sweet roasty grainy aroma, less smoke than expected. But it's there in the flavor, great buttery full taste with bitter coffee notes.

Bottle. Malty aroma, banana, light spicy and caramel notes. Tastes the same as aroma, light sour, bitter and sweet notes. Medium body, malty bitter sweet finish. Ok.

From the bottle, two weeks past the best date. Hazy light orange with a towering, sudsy head that lingers. Aroma of sour plum with light banana undertones. Taste is quite tart the whole way through with a hint of banana sweetness lingering at the end. Probably the beginning of an infection although not enough to put me off completely. Refreshing in its current state—although far from the German idea of what a Hefeweizen should be. Interesting.

Bottle from the source, two weeks past the best date. Hazy yellowish with a billowing, foamy white head. Lemony aroma with light hints of detergent. Taste follows much the same with a light, citric bitterness trending towards a light acridity on the finish that again conjures up images of a cleansing agent. Body is medium, carbonation is well balanced. Not bad if you like lemony beers.
