500ml (thx, Jacob B.!) at Andrey's. Appearance: dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma: smoky, grassy and inky, no bourbon. Taste: grassy and inky, some coffee, very roasty and bitter. Overall: no bourbon, no coffee, very roasty, ok, but not as expected at all.

(473ml can from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours quite hazy deep gold with a decent white head and a touch of lace. Aroma is floral fruity hop-forward for sure, lychee, papaya, guava and melon vibes with a lot of grassy perfumed overtones and grapefruit. Flavour is fairly dry and again on the floral fruity tip you might expect from these hops, similar notes to the nose with a perfumed lychee/melon core and grassy, herbal and slightly rindy edges. Bone dry into the finish, floral red fruit, light rindy grassy astringency but maybe moderately bitter. Medium bodied, slightly chewy, soft carbonation. Enigma makes me wary and Galaxy could play into its worst characters, but the hops work well together and while floral it's quite balanced. Nice dryness and yeast profile.

Can: Poured a slightly cloudy golden color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of citrusy hops notes with light grainy malt bill also noticeable. Taste is a good mix between some floral citrusy hops undertones and some grainy malt notes though finish isn’t quite clean. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Not bad and drink fairly well but could be a little bit cleaner.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of sweet black chocolate notes with some bourbon and vanilla notes with subtle coffee notes. Taste is also a mix of sweet chocolate notes with some bourbon notes and vanilla with some subtle coffee notes. Body is about average with good carbonation with no real discernible alcohol notes. Enjoyable barrel-aged stout but coffee notes did not come through as much as expected.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color ale with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of floral coffee notes with some black cholate notes and light residual sugar notes. Taste is a mix of black cholate notes and residual sugar notes with light floral coffee notes also perceptible. Body is about average with good carbonation and no easily detectible alcohol notes. Enjoyable imperial stout but coffee did not come out as much as I had expected.

Can: Poured a cloudy/hazy yellow color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dank and citrusy hoppy floral undertones is quite enticing. Taste is a nice mix of dank and citrusy hops notes with some floral undertones with light spicy notes and some light residual sugar notes. Body is full with good carbonation. Solid NEIPA with right balance and nice showcase of hops complexity.
