A deep dark IPA with a thin brown head. In aroma, nice floral hops over chocolate, pungent and floral. In mouth, bitter chocolate with piney floral hops, coffee grind, grapefruit pulp, nice.

Bottle from De Molen. Poured a clear golden brown with a thin white head. The aroma is malt and caramel leading to a medium bitter flavour with some toffee, caramel, malty sweetness on the smooth slightly watery palate. A super beer and a fine example of the style.

Bottle. Lactic acid and light chocolate malt aroma. Dark brown with small head. Mildly sweet chocolate malt and lightly astringent/bitter alcohol/lactic acid flavor. Smooth. Pretty good - one of the best US doppelbocks I’ve had.
