Draft at the Pickering Creek.......Dark brown with a small tan head...coffee aromas mixed with molasses & brown sugar.....sweet roasty scents also.....creamy body.....I taste distinct coffee and sweet malty sugar( brown)....a mild bitter bite on the finish---the balance vs. the finish make this an almost perfect milk stout....but it ends too abruptly

A tall dense head of tan floats over this very dark, almost opaque brew that has just a touch of garnet at the edges. Dry dusty cocoa powder malt aroma. Some chocolate in the flavor, slightly bitter, smooth. Medium body.

16th June 2008. Not by any means watery but not as thick as a lot of Impy Stouts. Lots of mildy toasted malt. Molasses and subtle tones of chocolate and coffee. No real bitterness. Well joined up.

355 ml bottle. Dark body with a big, rust-red head that disappears. Aroma of sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, liquorices and some alcohol, very lovely and complex. Flavor is complex as well. Sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, liquorices, some alcohol and a subdued bitterness. Very nice indeed.

Wee Heavy is not my most favorite style, but when I was presented this beer (through a mishap where I was supposed to get their coffee porter) I was intrigued. It wasn’t bad! The pour was a dark amber with a small light-tan head. Aroma is malts, nuts, caramel. Flavor is malts, nutty and caramel. Alcohol stands out, which might be my only downside to the entire experience.
