Bottle at Oproer. Clear golden/quick diminishing white head. Stale, steel-like bitter, like a dead pilsner. Light sweet, moderate bitter, very light sour bend in the finish. Low carb, turns flat completely in a few minutes. | [2026-06-28 15:37:00] - Locatie: SjogroWorld™ - Score: 3.4 - Comment: Lekker bitter pilsje. Als ie maar goed koud is.. | [2026-07-17 18:11:00] - Locatie: SjogroWorld™

0.5l bottle from hieber, 0.80€.
pours a clear pale golden with a medium white head and a nice lacing. aroma of grassy and sulphuric hops. flavour of grass, corn, hops. less bitter and more watery than regular jever, oily mouthfeel is gone as well. not too bad for the style, though.

12 oz. bottle date stamped 09/2016 into a shaker pint. A: Pale yellow clear pour with a quickly falling bubbly head. Little lacing. Visible bubbles. S: Light herbal hop scent and scant biscuit notes. Very European smell. T: Bitter herbal/floral hop bite hits first. Doughy malts are then left in the bitter finish. Crisp, clean and refreshing. M: Crisp mouthfeel and average carbonation. Clean dry finish with a slight bitterness lingering at the end. O: Just getting around to trying this champion pilsner. Quite good and drinkable but at $12/6 there are many better value options.

Pours gold with a creamy, white head that lingers. Aroma is herbal and malty, however in taste the malts take a backseat to the pronounced hops presence. Dry, coarse, quite bitter over the tongue, very little sweetness. Medium bodied, the texture is just a little oily. All in all a fairly decent German pilsener.

0,5 l bottle. Typical german industrial Pilsener in the glass. Clear golden, big white head. Taste is more bitter than other industrial stuff. Grassy, less grainy. Think it was more rough in my younger days 30 or 40 years ago. Had to much of it at that days.
