Description
It all started in 1996 when Douglas Ross sold his business, put his love of brewing into practice and founded the Allanwater Brewhouse. Since then he has gone from strength to strength in perfecting recipes that not only keep the most expert of ale lovers happy, but also the drinkers who are new to the joys of craft beer.

First brewed in Spring 2010 using the name Tin Pot Brewery. In 2014, the name was changed to Wash House Brewery and again in 2018 the name changed to its current one.

cask on tap at brewery some time ago ... hazy yellow ... thin white head ... wow nose ... loads of coriander and lemon grass nose ... oddly little too low on carbonation ... but lovely ... soft lemon grassy ... soft fruits ... load and load of flavour... very refreshingEarlier Rating: 9/16/2010 Total Score: 3.3Bottle at home ... light haze ... golden yellow ... big lemon grass nose ... light zezty ... little lemon ... big lemon grass ... hint of ginger ... but mostly lemon grass

tap a while ago at brewery ...amber ... creamy tan head .. soft sweet toffee malt nose ... huge sweet front ... loads of toffee ... loads of honey ... rich and creamy ... some caramalised sugers.

cask at paisley ... deep black ... huge roast peppered turkey nose ... it smells like christmas dinner ... dark malts ... solid roast ... rosemary ... At least 2 bar staff said hmmmm avoid... but i love this ... light peppery roast .. meaty ... turkey ... again rosemary...wierd ... totally out ... it gets a little more overall as nothing is like it. WoW

Cask @ Alloa Real Ale Festival 2011. Slightly hazy light golden colour, white bubbles. Nose is light malted and fruity. Flavour is malty, caramel, some fruits. Sweet finish.

Cask @ Alloa Real Ale Festival 2011. Slightly hazy light golden colour, white bubbles. Nose is sweet, bit fruity, maybe a hint of honey. Flavour is light vegetables, bit of citrus. Thin bodied. Not much going on.
