Bottle 330ml. [ As Sovina Trigo ].[ Trade by andrepintado ]. Unclear hazy matt medium yellow color with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, wheat, moderate to light light heavy yeasty, fruity, tart, grape notes, light soured milk. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet with a average duration, fruity, yeasty. Body is medium, texture is creamy, carbonation is soft. [20130817]

Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 12C). Bottle 33 cl - Batch 01-15. AROMA: very faint malty caramel notes, mixed with a slight background sour and plum-like aroma. Some cereal hull notes and no hops. APPEARANCE: dark brown color and hazy, thin beige head with low retention. TASTE: very faint dried grape notes and some roasted malt flavour. has a bit of port-like aspect but with faint solventy notes. low bitterness with a semi-dry finish. PALATE: medium-low body with low carbonation. some alcohol warmth. OVERALL: a baltic porter that needs more complexity on the aroma and flavours. to be improved.

Smooth and fresh beginning. Fresh and dry beer. Smooth, chocolate, nice roast. Smooth, fresh, intense. Not too deep but fine.

Bottle. Pours hazy deep amber with a large creamy beige head that dissipates slowly and laces well. Aroma is malty, breath, nutty, hints of grass. Flavor is medium sweet, medium bitter, apple tartness, lots of acidity. Lightish body, high carbonation. Lingering bitterness. Definitely a British IPA in style, and not a good one

Smooth fresh nose. Fresh smooth body. Soft, easy to drink, not much deepness but soft and slightly smooth. Fresh, nice.

Re-Rating (previous 4.4 - 4.4) Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 24C - amber). Bottle 33 cl - batch L01/20 (BBF 31/12/2021). AROMA: slight sweet aroma with an under attenuation character and slight solvent. high ester concentration. APPEARANCE: light amber color and slightly hazy. excessive ivory head with low retention. TASTE: mild malt sweetness with a caramel component resembling under attenuation. medium-low bitterness with a dry finish. faint solvent note. PALATE: low body with high carbonation. OVERALL: a poor amber biere de garde that lacks malt complexity.

Bottle 330ml. @ Assentoft tasting by Hansen - Zita. [ As Sovina Amber ].ABV: 6.0%. Clear medium yellow - amber orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, wheat, moderate yeasty, leather notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, yeasty, breat, wheat. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft - fizzy. [20141122]

Re-rating (2015) - Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 30C - Christmas/Winter Specialty Spiced Beer). Bottle 33 cl - Batch 01-14. AROMA: spice aromas of cardamom and ginger, mixed with a sweet background and slight lacquer notes. APPEARANCE: ambar color and hazy. initial large ivy head with very poor retention and poor lacing for the rated 8% abv. TASTE: flavour equal to the aromas (ginger) with very faint supportive malt flavours. sweet background. low bitterness with a semi-dry to dry finish. PALATE: medium to thin body with medium-high carbonation. some alcohol warmth noticeable. OVERALL: an unbalanced Christmas ale too much strong on the spices (ginger) which masks the base beer (no malt support). low body for a specialty beer.

Bottle. Creamy White excellent fully lasting head. Dark yellow colour. Moderate malty and hoppy and yeasty aroma. Some brett notes. MOderate bitter brett flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

Bottle @ Assentoft tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are citrus, fruits, brett, flowers, malt and hops. Nice.
