Bottle. Bit of a gusher (so much that it leaked to my luggage). Pours hazy golden with whiteish head. Aroma is sweet, perfumy, esthery, fruity. Flavor is sweet and bitter, spicy, citrus, orange, malt. Finish is citric. Overall: rather good (but minus points to overall for the carbo issues)

Small to medium white head, fast gone over orangey-golden beer, medium carbonation. Cakey/caramelly malts and orangepeel. Wafflesyrup, bit of oxydation. Human sweat, corn, adjuncts, toasted. CO² allows for a bit of acidity in the finish. Spritzy carbonation in feel; bit gristslick. Not very interesting. Txs to Stef!

[330 ml. bottle sampled][Purchased @ Malt Attacks] [BBF 07/2019] Hazy ugly golden, small off-white head. Nose is chemical unpleasant yeasty perfume yeast, spoiled, green, overly heavy perfume, green banana. Fizzy bodied with doughy yeast. Taste is fizzy yeast, bad dough, perfume, potato starch, green banana, strangely chemical, white sugar, floral, soap. Hard to get excited about this perfume, green banana, chemical soap, starch affair.

Bottle at Trollekelder. Apparently a Belgian blonde made for Mish Mash, a hobby brewing project in Boussu. Tightly lacing, snow white, moussy and frothy head, hazy straw blonde colour with near greenish hue. Aroma of raw grains, breakfast cereals, freshly cut grass, straw, parsley, fresh lettuce, iron, raw pineapple, green banana, unripe pear. Restrained and ’dry’ fruitiness in the onset, apple peel, unripe gooseberries and green banana, very fizzy carbonation, minerally and a bit too sharp, grainy middle, supple and smooth with a softer bready touch somewhere, a tad metallic, grassy and floral hop bitterish finish, graininess and unripe fruit flavors lingering after that. Technically decent but frankly a bit boring and one-sided; I guess the attempt here was to create a top-fermented equivalent to standard pale lager, which is one of the origins of Belgian blonde - but that was many a decade ago, and frankly I don’t see the point in such an idea in a new century with a world that is teeming with interesting beers - beers which mostly originated just as a reaction against standard pale lager...

pours rather clear blonde, foam dies instantly. Smell is sharp grains, bit bitter, yeasty. taste is sharp, bit bitter, very damn yeasty in the back. bit ( very mild though ) fermentation error, pointing out trough a plastic-like sidenote (again, this is very mild ) Too much carbo, and a rather thin MF. The problems it does have, aren’t neccessarily to much to bare, but the problem is that it doesn’t have anything extra on a positive side. if the problems would be fixed, the beer would become mediocer and stale. Now it’s below that. Shame. I do’nt get why people still try to brew a beer in a style that already has everything covered in it’s country. The price/ availibility / ... isn’t better either... who would actually drink this ?
