8/3/2019. Bottle from Home Bargains, Skegness. Pours mid to dark brown with a short lasting off-white head. Aroma of stem ginger, chocolate and malt. Peculiar tasting, artificial sweetness, moderate and slightly unpleasant bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Sweet, ginger biscuit finish. Aroma is quite nice, but not great overall.

Bottle from Tesco, Borehamwood. Black with next to no head. There's some stout character available including an excellent smoothness to the brew, but it is its ginger that dominates taste and provides a spiciness that lingers.

Bottle thanks to Richard. Appearance - deep amber to brown. Slightly off white head. Nose - toffee, chocolate, instant coffee and ginger of course. Taste - more ginger and instant coffee. Light chocolate and caramel. Palate - light to medium bodied and creamy. Tangy finish. Overall - not too bad.

Bottle from Tesco, Borehamwood. Clear dark copper-gold with next to no head. Somewhat sweet, the expected ginger in this brew is quite light, although a tad more pronounced in its nose, and is the strongest part of the brews aftertaste. There's a hoppy element to the brew accounting for the IPA part, but it's still not what you'd expect to be drinking in terms of this style.

Pours light caramel with a thin white head. Immediate aroma of ginger. Taste is sweet, like a ginger ale but with a slight bite at the end. Palate is fruity and sweet. Not bad.
