50cl bottle from Tesco, Amersham. A strange concept, but I thought I'd give it a go. It's a golden amber pour with a ring of white head, so it looks like a beer; but the aroma is sweet and gingery; the ginger taste is overpowering in the mouth , with the malts and hops only just managing to make their presence felt. Ten out of ten for innovation and effort, but rather less than that for the result.

Bottle from Tesco. Pours clear dark golden with no head. Aromas of ginger, lemonade, cornflakes. Taste is predictably awful. Powdered ginger, buttery beer, paracetamol. Sweet finish. Not nice.

500ml bottle. Pours dark orange brown with a medium head. Aroma is warm ginger. Taste is mostly ginger. Some hop oils. Sticky sweet finish. Not bad, to be fair.

500ml bottle from Tesco - Slightly hazy amber body, thin white top. Nose is fairly sweet citrus, a little earthy spice backdrop. Taste is a little cloying at first, but cleaned up with a ginger warmth on the way out. A bit sticky, but different.
