Description
For Cyprien, Antoine and the entire Fauve team, the adventure began in Paris in our brewpub "Les Cuves de Fauve", in the rue de Charonne, our location in the 11th arrondissement. which includes a restaurant, a bar and a micro-brewery.
And then in 2021, so 2 years after opening the brewpub, the Fauve project developed a little further south with the opening of a production micro-brewery near Montpellier (more precisely in Mauguio) where we now brews the majority of our beers and which also hosts a cellar dedicated to our barrel-aging program.
We ended 2024 with a bang with the grand opening of a brand new brewery in Vendargues, on the outskirts of Montpellier. We designed and customized everything from start to finish! We created this facility to brew all our favorite beers, with even greater precision and versatility.

0.33 l can from A la bière comme à la bière, Paris, shared with Ogi and Marko. Dark brown to black, minimal head. Aroma is roasted malts, vanilla, leather, licorice, alcohol. Slightly unbalanced. Smooth, medium body, lots of sweet vanilla in the flavour covers the oak and roasty. Medium body, slightly boozy. Oily texture, dry finish, slightly astringent.

Can, thx Hrabren for bringing these all the way from France and sharing them with Ogivlado and me! Pitch black body, greyish thick head gone quite soon. Minerally, oily aroma, caramelly, low cocoa, lower still vanilla. Lean, dry taste, heavy alcohol, soapy, alcohol, countered by heaps of vanilla, bit caramel and chocolate maybe, but still quite messy, and stupidly alcoholic. The description literally reads like a quest to save a less than adequate barrel aged impy, neither the first nor the last brewery to be in that position and do their best to salvage an expensive failure. Sadly, I don't think it's successful. Fauve's a great brewery nonetheless, especially for French standards. They are allowed to fail sometimes.

Can, thx Hrabren for sharing with us! Very dark brown body, fleeting head. Oily aroma, cocoa, alcohol, low coconut. Smooth taste, lean, dry, cocoa, some alcohol, coconut - surprisingly low for what it says it is. It's not a bad beer, it's well crafted by all means, but the flavors are just okay, too subdued in a way, not decadent enough.

Can, thx H for bringing it and sharing it with us! Pitch black almost, very dark brown at least, fleeting greyish head. Odd aroma, caramel, oily, not really, that much cocoa, vanilla or cinnamon, uninviting though. Lean, dry taste, soapy cinnamon and vanilla, low alcohol, cocoa builds up, nicely, but it's quite empty, and alcohol does as well. I don't mind a dry Impy normally, but eh, not sure about this.

Can, thx Hrabren for sharing with us! Pitch black body, fleeting greyish-brown head. Heavy coffee-driven aroma, sadly some peppers, but some coconut as well. Coffee-driven lean smooth bitter taste, chocolate, almost no coconut, dry enough, solid alcohol, but starting to slightly fall apart sadly.
