26/VIII/13 - 33cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ home - BB: n/a (2013-810)
Clear deep ruby red to purple beer, big irregular off-white head, pretty stable, very little adhesive. Aroma: very fruity first impression, dark forest fruits, cherry jam, sourish, spicy, wooden barrels, coffee, charcoal. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: sour red berries, forest fruits, alcohol, sourness from the bretta coming through, forest fruits jam, sour spiciness, like ginger or something. Aftertaste: sourish, some mocha and coffee, red fruit jam, little bitter, earthy touch, pretty spicy, orange marmalade bitterness. A bit too sour to finish a whole glass, could've used some moderation when adding the lambic. But otherwise a very nice experiment!
