Tap at Cherry Reds, Birmingham. Pours semi-hazy gold with smooth white top. Apple and biscuit come through with a fair dose of salt. The caramel is there but it seems background to the saltiness. Not much in the way of hops. Smooth creamy mouthfeel. Only half works for me.

Tap at Cherry Reds, Birmingham. Pours near black with a slight ruby red hue and small beige head. Cherry comes though quite strong in this, slight tartness with chocolate and dark roasted malt flavours. Medium bodied, slight dryness. Quite liked this one.

Tap at Sommar, Waterloo Street, Birmingham. I think mine was 7.2%. Light hazed purple with small white top. Creamy vanilla with a pippy blueberry. Creamy mouthfeel, fine carbonation, semi drying, slight alcohol warmth. Fairly simple but tasty.

Tap at Sommar, Waterloo Street, Birmingham. Hazy gold with thin white top. This one had notes of lemon, flora, pale malt, a touch of pine and spice dusting. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Easy drinking. Glasshouse and Attic brew have come close in quality to Kernel's Table Beer but this one is just ok.

I didn't realise this was a mango pale ale at the time and its not my favourite style. As it turned out this one wasn't too bad. Pleasant fruitiness with subtle hopping flavour wise. Certainly not punchy but did have a smooth mouthfeel and a good bitterness in the finish.

Tap at Sommar, Waterloo St, Brum. Poured a hazy orange-gold with nice smooth consistent white head. This one turned out to be quite an earthy and pine noted bitter IPA with some grapefruit and citric fruitiness in the background. I found it a bit abrasive and I normally like West Coast style. Medium bodied, semi-drying, light chewiness. Certainly not boring.

Keg at Cherry Reds, Birmingham. Semi-hazed gold with small consistent white top. Strong toffee and banana aroma/taste with some creaminess and hint of malts. Very flavoursome, moreish, smooth mouthfeel. One of this breweries better flavoured pales.

Cask at Cherry Reds, Birmingham. Light-hazed straw-gold with small white top. There is some leafy and pepperiness to this but mostly its stewed cereal, mango and cashmere jumpers. Its ok though, more interesting than most 4% cask pales.
