Cask at Bird in Hand, Stafford. Pours a hazy / cloudy gold with minimal off-white head. The aroma is mainly marmalade with some hints of generic citrus. In the mouth it is slightly bitter with a creamy texture, but some underlying sharpness. Flavour is oranges, nelon and werthers original sweets, plus some ginger coming through later. Sharpness increases in the finish which leads me to suspect this beer was going off and needs to be rerated.

500ml bottle from Asda. Amber in colour and clear, with a tight, off-white, head and plenty of carbonation. Light, malty aroma, with some marmalade notes and a hint of floral hop.The flavour also had a malty edge, with a suggestion of prickly pine, more orange sweetness before a moderately bitter finish. Good.

Can from Village Vintners, Pyrford. Aroma is doughy with a sugary lemon juice streak. Clear light gold. Thin white head barely managed a light froth. Medium bitter, woody, metallic, with a juicy citrus edge. Underlying malts. Light. Thin. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Had worse. Keeps things vaguely interesting but no interest in having another.
