Description
De Halve Maan Brewing Company is a family brewery in the heart of Bruges, Belgium. The brewery was restarted and refined by Veronique Maes in 2005. With unique beer recipe on the work, the brewery was renamed as ‘Brugse Zot’. Brugse Zot beer became the only beer that is personally brewed in the town center of Bruges. The Brugse Zot and Straffe Hendrik beers are two of the brewery’s finest types of beers. Straffe Hendrik beer is filled with bitter ale while the Brugse Zot is rich in fruity flavor along with different types of malts and hoppy aromas.

Hazy amber pour into a tulip. Frothy white micro head leaves slight lacing as it recedes with a medium pace. Fruity lemon and yeast aromas. Fizzy and full sweet lemon upfront with a crisp bitter hop finish.

Darkhazy brown with a creamy light brown head. The smell was a sweet caramel. The flavor was a mixture of caramel, nuts, and possible other fruit.

Draught at Delirium Café in Gothenburg, Sweden.Honey golden color. Big white creamy head. Typical Belgian scent, also with some alcohol. Big palate, low to medium bitterness. Fruity flavor, very refreshing. Feels like a mix of a Belgian ale and a lager type.

Bottled Brugs de’ Beertje 05-11-05, last visit here before going home tomorrow. Reddy brown colour, good thick off white head, spicy and caramel aroma, lead to a pleasant malty sweetish beer with some dried fruits and yeastiness in the flavour dept’ very nice think i’ll take a bottle home with me.
