Pours a clear golden colour with a white head. Aroma is a little fruity and some spicy hoppy hints. Dry malty flavor with some hints of citrus. Slightly bitter aftertaste.

Clear, deep brown body. Caramelish, creamy head. Aroma of malts (caramel, toasted) with some hints of hops (flowers). Lightly sweet, lightly bitter initial flavour. Lightly sweet, moderately bitter finish. Lightly to medium bodied. I’ll second Joris that it’s ok, but not very special.

Bottle from Sainsbury’s. Golden and slightly hazy. Yeasty and citric aroma, some buttescotch detected and perhaps spicy and fruity but very long finish. Went to the brewery last year well worth a vist if in Bruges.

Draught Deep dark amber to chestnut; thick, yellowish, N²-like head, nitrokeg-like, leaving appropriate pseudo-rings. Slightly sweet chocolate nose, faint spice (holly leaf?). Dark candy sugar, sweet, and again, some unidentifiable spice. Retronasal again sweet, milk chocolate and liquorice. Very light MF, but sticky-sweet in the aftertaste. A bit dull - that’s what I found for the original blonde; so this is - double bland? Well, it’s just OK.

(bottle) Golden colour with a medium frothy white head. Malty and hoppy nose with aromas of spice, herbs and a bit butter. Creamy texture, medium body. Initially malty, rather alcoholic, dry and hopbitter aftertaste. Quite quaffable.

Clear, golden body. White head with a good lace. Lightly sweet, moderately bitter flavour in the beginning. Lightly sweet, lightly bitter in the end. Medium to fully bodied. This is a good Belgian ale, but not outstanding. But since the new start of the brewery, I’d call it very promessing.

Bottle. Fruity, hoppy aroma. Citric floweriness. Golden colour, quite sparkly. Huge, stable white head which looks very soft and creamy. Flavour starts off on a yeasty note turning quite metallic. Green apple aftertaste. Highly carbonated but quite pleasant after a little swirling. The carbonation feels like small, soft bubbles.

(Bottle 25 cl) One of my all time faves this. Dark brown with a warm reddish hue. Very hazy - almost unclear. Incredibly tall and frothy head. Dark, roasted malty flavours, but never too sweet. Very harmonic balance between the sweet and the bitter. Perhaps it lacks just a bit to be really great. 241097
