Il Microbirrificio Opperbacco nasce nel 2009
grazie alla volontà e alla caparbietà del Mastro Birraio Luigi Recchiuti.

Il birrificio è a Notaresco. Incastonato come una gemma tra i colli Teramani, abbracciato dal Gran Sasso da un lato e dal Mare Adriatico dall’altro con, uliveti, vigne e frutteti a fare da cornice.
L’intero processo produttivo si svolge all’interno di una vecchia stalla riadattata e attrezzata per laproduzione di Birra.

Bottled 330ml. -from Eataly Trieste. Cloudy yellow coloured, small to medium sized snow-white head, coriander in the nose. Coriander, light citrusy, notes of vegetables and slightly watery with mild coriander and mint in the finish. Bit flat but pleasant coriander-mint combo. 4.6%ABV

330ml bottle. Pours black. Chocolate, coffee, liquorice, quite herbal, bit of sage, more coffee. Good body. Tasty.

At a tasting, thanks, smallish bubbly head, murky darkish brown color with yellow hues, aroma of sour bread, candy and oxidised notes, oxidised nutty candy flavor, quite sweet but not over the top. Nice.

Bottle. Mahogany color, yellow foam. Aroma: sweet, jam, dried fruit, sweet malt, dessert wine, raisins and dried gooseberries with currants, raspberries and marmalade. Taste: sweet and dense, gooseberries and currants, fruit cake, raspberry, brandy, licorice, medium bitterness. Belgian ale with a strong Italian accent, but good.

bottle. cloudy chestnut brown. small airy head. nose: oak tannins, rich dried fruit, berry jam, caramel malts. medium body. taste: dried fruit, marmelade, minor barrel. quite noble. the ending is not as intense as one would hope initially. still high class.

Orange-golden colored, small white frothy head. Aroma is of some malt, bit caramel, orange and lemony citrus and floral hops. Taste is medium sweet malt, bit caramel, citrusy and floral hops, lemony and some orange, medium bitterness, dry finish. Light bodied, soft carbonation, bit watery. (on tap; Gollem, Antwerpen)

Bottle in the guest room - Roma. Pours clear orange-gold with a small, creamy white head. Herbal and piney hop aroma, background orange rind. Light sweet flavour with more herbal hops, grassy bitterness, dried citrus peel. Light in body with average carbonation. Bitter finish, some pine needles, more grass, dry citrus. So so overall.

Bottle at the guest room in Roma. Pours mostlynclear gold with a dense, frothy white head. Some tropical fruits in the nose, pine, grass, herbs. Medium sweet flavour, a little boost, with further herbal hops, grassy bitterness, orange peel. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Warming finish, a little raw alcohol, piney bitterness, also some grass, more orange peel. So so overall.
