(Bottle) Cloudy mid brown with off-white head. Aroma has pleasant yeasty esters, pepper, alcohol and hints of sweet fruitiness. Full bodies, creamy velvety with some stickiness. Interesting and unusual flavor profile. It starts characteristic if a string Belgian beer and finishes with some noticeable hoppy bitterness - guess that the Triple + IPA. The foretaste has caramel sweetness and stone fruit. Peppery spice develops and then some rather harsh bitterness leads into a long finish. The alcohol is not apparent in the taste. This is an interesting combination of styles, and quite enjoyable; however the hops are a little harsh.

Tap @Bir&Fud, Roma
Murky brown color, big cloudy beige head. Toasted malty aroma. Roasted, coffeish but also vegetables and harsh flavors. Also body is a bit thin for 7 % "robust porter". Maybe not in top condition.

Bottle from Birratrovo, Como; bb 310514 L2013
Cloudy light amber color with medium sized creamy head. The aroma is only partially fruity, it’s mostly earthy, animal; there are also some soft hop resins. Good body strength; the malt flavor has accents of caramel and toffee, and it’s moderately sweet; strong bitterness, nothing close to the theoretical 409 IBU, but the hop is tired, not able to propose freshness; there is some orange jam; the hop resins tickle the tongue in the long final.
A good beer overall, but it seems an exercise that didn’t get to the highest result.

Tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, 26/09/13. Hazed golden amber with a good sized frothy white head. Nose carries fairly aggressive hop notes, caramel malt, bitter grapefruit, grass, citric fruits. Tate comprises bitter grapefruit, candied sugars, rich mango, orange pith, bitter hops. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, agressive hop bitternes in the finish. Decent DIPA.
