[Draft at Porterhouse, London]A light yellow beer with a small head. The aorma is much like water = nothing, but there are weak hints of lemon. The flavor is like hop water, which gives it a quite bitter end from an OK hop. Too simple.

[Draft at Porterhouse, London] A black beer with a fine chocolate brown head. The aroma is of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt and has a nice sweetness. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt and caramel. The end is dry roasted, but the body is a little thin.

[At Porterhouse, London] A brown beer with a small head. The aroma is sweet roasted with notes of caramel - and so is the flavor.

[Draft at Porterhouse, London] A deep red beer with a beutiful lasting creamy off-white head. The aroma is slightly sour malty with hints of roastyness. The flavor is sweet malty with loads of caramel notes, but also roasted malt and hops giving it a fresh bitter end. The mouthfeel is very creamy.

Plenty pints chugged at the Covent Garden Porterhouse back in the 2002-2004 period when I lived in London.
Clear golden, crisp and clean, decent enough easy drinking no thoughts required logger bier.

(Cask) Jet black. Dense nitro-like head. Roasted barely; black, leftover coffee aroma. Soft, mild stout-roasted barley, going over imperceptibly in a bitingly bitter, but nice STOUT. Mouthfeel is thick and rich, alcohol prominent. Gets a bit harsh in the end. Prize-stout. Great - beats the Guinnesses.

Very dark brown. Very fresh malts - it’s been a while since I smelled malts this fresh in a stout. Very toasty, rich, pungent nose. Delicious, with some smokey ancho earthy finish.

Near total black; spicy, fruity aroma; seaweedy, mocha-like coffee notes, white sugar. Liquoricey body with fruit. Soft body with light treacle. Good stuff.
