Draught @ Porterhouse, WC2 London. Black color with a small creamy long lastng head. Aroma is hoppy, roadsted malty, and it has a unique aroma and taste, possibly because of the Oysters (saltwater). Flavor is also salty with roasted malt and a bitter dry hoppy finish. A little thin but still quite smooth.

Draught @ Porterhouse, WC2 London. Very dark brown color with a creamy light-brown head. Aroma is malty, roasted with some notes of hops. Flavor is bittersweet chocolate / coffe with a average duration. The end is dry, roasted, the body is a little thin.

Medium brown head; opaque black body going dark brown at edges. Sharpish, nutty hop aroma with nilky dark malt notes. Sharp, resiny, bitter, chocolatey licorice taste with faintly oily mouthfeel and citric notes. Dryish aftertaste. Good, quite interesting. (0.5l bottle.)

Bottle. Pours a black colour with a tan head. Sweet malty roasted aroma with some hints of alcohol. Roasted malty flavor with hints of chocolate, coffee and also hints of alcohol. Sweet malty coffee aftertaste.

Draft at the London location. At the bar, this was listed at 5.0%. An unclear orange beer with a thin lazing white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of bananas and wheat. The flavor is sweet and artificially candy like with notes of orange, banana, and bubblegum. Too sweet - and too artificial in its impression.

(Draught at Porterhouse, Covent Garden, London, 30 July) Colour is almost black with ruby notes when seen through light, dense beige head. Nose is roasted with notes of chocolate and berries (blackberries, black currant). Taste is roasted with chocolate, coffee and the same berry notes. Light to medium body. Dry and bitter finish with a nice hop character. Nice and smooth with lots of taste.

Draught at Porterhouse, Covent Garden. Pale gold. Thin white head. Some sickly lager malt aroma. Bit thin in mouth. Hops are ok though. Still the vomit malt continues to the end. Dull but mostly inoffensive

On draught at Porterhouse, Covent Garden. Like the Thomas Hardy Ale and the Sarah Hughes Ruby Mild I had earlier this is very malty. The malt here is tempered by a good dosing of hop. Still alcoholic and malty. Hop finish is in fact quite harsh, but doesn’t alleviate the rich malt and alcohol. Coffee/choc/syrupy malt aroma and in mouth with some sweetish berry fruit. Hit of harsh hop on end. Sweet tangerine in there too.

Draught@brew pub, Dublin. Amber color, steady off-white head. Complex aroma has apricot, mango, glue and brandy. Creamy mouthfeel. Dried fruits mixed with alcohol and hops in the flavor. Hoppy and alcoholic aftertaste. Winter-warmer.

Draught@brew pub, Dublin. Opaque black, good chocolaty brown whisp cream head. Smokey and chocolaty nose. Roasted, licorice flavors. Medium to full-bodied. Like a little brother of Mikkeller’s Breakfast Stout. Long hoppy aftertaste.
