Bottle. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is grainy, some green bottle flavours. Taste is the same, grainy. Oily mouthfeel with low carbonation.

12oz bottle from Brewers Haven. Clear, dark amber pour, thin, creamy beige head. Sweet, malty aroma, brown sugar. Taste continues with big malt sweetness, nutty, molasses and light toasty notes. Smooth and tasty. Deserves better scores.

From a can. Nose is sweet biscuit malt, some butter, light hops. Clear gold, low head. Sweet rich malt flavor, citrus hops, leafy, somewhat floral. Light body. Not bad.

Bottle from Spar in Trento. Not sure this is really a Doppel at just 6.5%. Dark reddish brown with a huge head. Nutty, caramel nose with cocoa and some dried prunes. And fresh prunes. Rich, fruity flavor, prunes and raisins, caramel, touch of coffee. Very tasty, and rather light and crisp for the style, with a moderation bitter finish. Better than expected.

Tap in Trento. Pale gold and clear with a tall head. Faint nose. Some herbal hops and sweet malt. Clean, crisp, bitter flavor with dry crackery malt and herbal hops. A touch of citrus. Clean.

Tap in Trento. Clear gold with a tall head. Honey malt nose, light esters and bready malt. Malty, fruity, medium sweet flavor. Mot too heavy. Nice.

Tap in Trento. Cloudy pale gold, pastel, low head. Estery and malty nose. Orange, apricot, biscuits. Sweet biscuits flavor apricot and citrus, grassy hops. Full body. Nice enough.
