really pale golden color. Lightly hopped nose that is reminiscent more of a Pilsner than a pale ale. Very light body with little character and little resemblance to a pale ale

From a 355ml bottle on 10/4/2015. Pours a clear medium amber with a small head. Has a nice floral, fruity hoppy aroma. In the mouth, it features some biscuity and caramel malt, a good dash of citrus fruit, some spices, and a nice big lingering hop kick. Medium bodied with average to lively carbonation. This is a very nice brew - imo, much better than the ratings to date suggest.

Can. Clear amber with an off white head. Gentle aroma of caramel, grapefruit, some pine and spices. Sweet caramel, some soapy notes, grapefruit and spices. Moderate bitterness struggles through the sweetness. OK.

(On tap) Hazy yellow with good white head. Pleasant pine and fruit aroma. Light body with good carbonation. Very refreshing with plenty of tangy exotic fruit up front and then a smooth gentle mid-palate and some bitterness in the finish. A very refreshing beer.

Can. Pale gold with white head. Aroma is earthy and husky with herbs and a bit of lemon. Sweetish with moderate bitterness, quite lemony. OK, but malt flavours a bit muddled - doesn’t have that clean plain pils malt that can would be nicely seasoned by the hops here.

Can, 10C. Just hazy gold with a very large white head that’s just a bit over the top but lasts and laces well. Aroma of oranges, lemon, cloves, pepper, hay. Medium bodied, highish carbonation. Nice balance of sweet, tangy and bitter - hay, a little tangy dough, nectarines, citrus, spices. Dry and moderately bitter at the end. Good stuff and a flight of steps up for these folks.

From a 355ml can on 8/3/2015 (shared by Butz with thanks). Pours a cloudy straw with a huge fluffy white head. Has a pretty decent spicy, yeasty aroma. The taste follows suit with tart citrus fruits, and lots of spice, with a moderate quite dry, slightly vinous bitterness. Has a fullish body, with the palate a touch creamy, and lively carbonation. A nice, refreshing saison.

The Australian Pale Ale a random beer picked up from World Beer Market via Rakuten. Currently on sale for 250-300 yen for 355ml, imported by Konishi. 4.8% this beer has the look of a Pilsner but a surprisingly fruity hoppy punch on opening. The label says Galaxy hops and it does indeed give me a passion fruit aroma. Raspy mouthfeel & light bodied. The taste is crisp, tropical fruit hoppiness then chalky light malts. Decent but it would benefit from a more balanced malt bill. Quite good for the price.

Can at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is pine needle grassy hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a yeasty citrus hop palate. Light bodied with average carbonation.

Can at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is malt, citrus hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light crisp refreshing yeast hop bitter, very light toothpaste palate. Medium bodied witn average carbonation.
