Can, best before 11/10/26, drunk 6/30/26.
Old school PNW hops with some pine, lots of white grapefruit, but no gross caramel/resin/iced tea character. Some cracker and lots of pith. Wish there was more deep maltiness, but it's clean and actually well-hopped.
This may have the most body of any Athletic beer I've ever had. It's almost approaching an actual medium body, and relative to most NA's it's massive. Clean and well-hopped with peach, pear, mango, white grapefruit and good bitterness all-around, but never getting resinous or caramelly, thanks to the very pale malts. One of the better beers I've had from them.

Best Before 12/04/2026 can drunk 06/29/2026.
Bright and spicy mango with a pinch of lactic acid. Smells authentic at least, not cheap/sugary.
Quite tart and lightly lactic in the mouth with soft, chewy, blanding wheat but still allows the mango puree-like character to come through well enough. Good enough beer character and while it's too fizzy, the wheat helps ward off the seltzer-like body it would probably have otherwise.

Can, best before 11/05/2026, drunk June 20, 2026.
Mango is round and fruity, moderately sweet, seems like a puree of sorts. Not cheap and sugary. Don't distinctly get any turmeric in the nose. Malts seem bigger than usual for Athletic. No wort/seltzer/oxidation.
Nice and bitter right from the start. I assume that's the turmeric talking, but again, I don't actually get much turmeric flavor. Just a strong peppery bitterness. But the key here is that the malt is both much bigger than average for an NA and the mango isn't overdone/cheap/sugary.

335ml can on the Celebrity Constellation, at sea in Italy. Pours a cloudy dark gold color with a small white head and fair retention. No lacing. Lightly fruity and lightly hoppy aroma. The taste follows the nose: Tastes like a mellow session pale ale. Equal parts light juice notes and light hops. Not bitter. It doesn't taste bad, but I don't think it would satisfy an IPA fan. Light body and light carbonation.

Keg at Friends of Ham, Leeds, cos I had not ticked this brewery and I was waiting for my manager who was running progressively later. Clear bright copper gold. Foamy white head- slightly translucent. Aroma has malts and butterscotch. Flavourwise it has resinous bitterness over chewy malts and and hint of caramel. Citrus edge. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-average carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Actually petty flavoursome for an AF..

Keg draught at the Old Workshop, Sheffield. Dark golden, clear with a smattering of off-white head. Light aroma with a gummy resinous note. Taste is sweet, loads of that resinous character, leading to a bitter finish. Medium body with carbonation on the slightly heavy side. Low/no beers have come so far in the last few years but this is a relic from the olden days. Still a CT tick. Cool.

light golden, fluffy whitehead
A - tropical floral, pine, slight barley grass
F - tropical pine melon, there is a slight underlying wortyness but the hops hide it pretty well
fair bitterness
fairly light body but not bad for an AF beer, this is pretty good

Pours pale yellow into a willi. White head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Mild citrus aromas. Crisp with summer berry and melon upfront turning to mild citrus pith and pine in the medium length finish.
