Can. A quite grainy one, semi-sweet, with a gentle bitterness. Floral, lightly piney and peppery. I prefer my pils crisper and more bitter, but it's a fine brew anyway. 646413 260418

0.44l can, shared with David, Sima @ Pier. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, whiskey, peat and smoke. Pours dark brown color with thin creamy light brown head and fine lacing. Taste starts with sweet and rich roasted malt, chocolate and nuts, following is earthy, grainy and alcoholic, mouthfeel is smooth and warm, while finish is average bitter. Full body, thick texture and soft carbonation in palate. Dangerous as the outlaws were…

0.44l can. Aroma is grassy, piney, caramelly and dusty. Pours cloudy dark golden color with large soapy off-white head, great lacing and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts refreshing grainy and yeasty, following is bready, herbal and nutty, mouthfeel is dry, while finish is heavy bitter. Medium to full body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Didn’t have guts to drink it in the evening…

Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark brown, with fine light brown foam. Aroma is of chocolate, vanilla, also recalling savoiardi (ladyfingers) dipped in alchermes (one of the ingredients in zuppa inglese, an Italian dessert). Body is average, with nice stocking carbonation and hint of stickiness. Taste is fairly sweet, just a little toasty. Final is fairly long, sweet but not excessive.

Dark brown colour, almost black, small beige head that quickly disappears. Aroma is lots of dried figs, dates, raisins. Medium sweetness, very low bitterness. Full body, soft carbonation. Very good, and tastes like a truly Belgian beer.

Purchased at Amstein, best before 10/25. A good option yesterday night after a hot day for the season and a family party at Sauvabelin. For the style and of my point of view, it is a generous session ipa, rather dry, smooth, yeasty hazy, tropical touch.
