Description
Heist started brewing from our old site in Clowne, Derbyshire in 2018, building a reputation for a wide variety of beers. The move to Sheffield was always on the cards and now allows us to expand operations with doubled fermentation capacity, an awesome new brewing team and plans to upgrade and replace the older 10HL brewkit in 2022. Although our plans had been severely delayed due to the Covid-19 outbreak, we are back at it, brewing flat out to service the new taproom and our fantastic customers across the country.

Draught keg at the Queens Road Tap, Leicester. Dark gold and clear with a ring of white head. Light piney character combines with some dank tropical fruit and a metallic note in the aroma. Taste is sweet with woody and tangerine character with some light tannic tones in the finish. Gentle body, heavy carbonation. It's pretty good in its own way.

On tap at The Craft Beer Co. - Clerkenwell, pours a cloudy dark orangey brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out deep toasted caramel malt, bready malt, and gentle fruitiness. Flavour is fairly boozy, with bready malt, toasted caramel, and citrusy berries. A little thin on the palate but it's nicely made—a little boozy but well-made.

Tap. Heist. Slightly murky orange. Fine off white head. Nose has dirty chalky yeast. Some mango like fruit. Some citrus. Taste is dirty and rough bitterness. Same for the finish. I keep giving this brewer’s beers a chance but they do nothing for me, unfortunately.
