Description
Font Salem is a Spanish company that markets its products both in Spain and in neighboring Portugal. Their strength is making beer, soft drinks and water for third parties. Their industry experience is over 25 years, as they have earned the trust of the major companies they work with (Mercadona, El Corte Inglés, Lidl, Eroski etc.). Grupo Damm acquired the company in several steps since 1999.

The company has three plants, two in Valencia and one in Portugal. The one in El Puig de Santa María, in Valencia, is dedicated to brewing beer, the second, in Salem, Valencia, makes soft drinks. The Santarém factory in Portugal produces both beer and soft drinks.

Canned. Pale golden, average head.Aroma of cereals and maize. Light-medium body with clean mouthfeel. If there is any sort of character here it’s lended from maize. Lifeless and industrial.

Canned. Pale golden, rich creamy head. Cereal aroma. Sweet and light bodied with a suprising dash of smoke. Otherwise it’s stays neutral, dull and featureless. Finishes slightly salty with a sigh.

Can in brazilian coloures. Tastes very sharp and sweet. More like fanta than like beer. Really not good.

The can looks good, the beer in the glass also, much fast disappearing foam. Tastes very spicy, the finish somehow "lumpish". Not really a good beer.

The can looks good, the beer in the glass also. Very much foam. Starts very vapid, becomes washier with every gulp. An average beer.

The can looks good. The beer in the glass also, but very fast disappearing foam. Tastes very vapid with an artificial dry moment. Not a good beer.

The bottle looks not good, the beer in the glass neither. Not as sourish as other spanish beer, but not a good one. Too washy.

(Can 33 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Clear, pilsener golden with a very white head. Metallic aroma. Light-bodied with sticky sweet malt and corn - and a metallic touch. The finish is dry. Unclean and unpleasant. 240407

Can. A golden beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet grainy with a light touch of metal. The flavor is sweet metallic, leading to a dry bitter end. A different hop sort would do it good.

Sample from 33 cL can. Pours filtered yellow. Aroma of grass and hay. Flavour is that is straight pilsener with a soft grassy and malty finish.
