Bottle. A nut brown beer, unclear, with a finger thick beige head. Toffee, roasted malts and chocolate in the aroma, with bread crust and some pine cones and herbal. It's quite sweet on the palate, soft and full bodied, with lots of malty flavors. Enough bitterness to deal with the sweetness. Lasting malty finish. There's some interesting stuff going on here, but it feels rather messy. 200627
