Description
RYGR Brygghus is a microbrewery in Kverneland Næringspark on Jæren. The brewery was established in 2017, and came on the market in 2018. RYGR is owned by the employees and Grans Brewery. The brewery is named after the Smokers, who were the first grain growers in southwestern Norway in the Viking Age. In 2020, RYGR has become one of the largest microbreweries in the country, after reaching a national agreement with REMA 1000 supermarkets. In addition, the products are distributed to Vinmonopolet and bars and restaurants.

The brewery has been a driving force for the use of local raw materials in production, and to a large extent uses malt from the same municipality from Jæren Korn & Malt and oatmeal from Stangeland Mølle. In 2020, other fermented raw material producers were also incorporated into production.

0,33 boks fra Statens fruktlager på Kilden, hjemme mens jeg forbereder fredagens Pasta ala bestos: klar blekgylden med kort skum. Ingefæren dominerer over plommene, slank maltkropp og fornuftig vitamininnhold. Ingefær så det holder i ettersmaken, "a lingering afterburn". Tror at denne kan passe godt til sushi eller som aperitif i grillsesongen.

Can. Sweet, warming and lightly boozy. A bit too much dessert going on, nice though. 747414 250603

Can. Distinctly malty, very nicely bittered. Piney, bread crusty and lightly fruity. Love the hops and bitterness, a bit strange maltiness. 646414 250601
