Pours slightly hazy golden with a huge white head. Aroma has notes of malt, citrus, lime, zest, tartness and funk. Taste is light to medium sweet and light to medium sour with a long slightly tart lemonade finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft to fizzy

Bottle from Gulating. Unclear golden body with a huge, lasting off-white head. Aroma has malt, bread and quite much yeast. Not able to recognize any specific kveik variety or esters really, this smells a lot like baking yeast. Taste is sweet malt and bread, but there is also a hint of something more acidic. I did not read rhubarb at the label when tasting and did not recognized this as rhubarb either, my notes sad acidic berries and gooseberry. There is also a hint of some ripe fruit here, perhaps plum but his was not very distinct. Reading the label, I also found a nice selection of hop varieties, but this is neither to be recognized in flavor, they seem to be hidden behind the yeast flavor. Bitterness feels moderate. Medium body, feels quite balanced and aftertaste is exactly like the rest and quite yeasty. It’s a drinkable beer, but I miss some distinctiveness and a more obvious direction flavor wise. This beer is not highlighting the kveik and both the fruit and hop flavor is very discreet. Without knowing anything about this, it might be any kind of homebrew served me before year 2000. Still, not bad at all, just nothing special in any direction.

Bottle @ Patricks. Dark brawn, almost black body with a fine beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, toast and dry fruit. Flavor is sweet malty, caramel, bread, dry fruit and toffee but quite rough on the roasted malt and less sweet and smooth as expected from a quad. Quite nice but it feels a lot like an imperial stout as well, or at least like something in between. The alcohol is nicely softened and the bitterness is well masked but there seem to be something with the roasted malt and a bit sharp edged brown sugar flavor here. Some time in the cellar might do the trick but right now it feels a unfinished and messy.
