Description

Bottle. Looking quite nice in the glass, with it’s clear, amber body and dense, finger-thick light beige head. Lots of dried fruits on the nose, with sugar, orange, and a little cellarish touch. Sweet flavor with dried fruits, some cellar, spice hints, orange peel bitterness and a hint of caramel. Full-bodied, pleasantly carbonated and semi-dry. Long, sweet finish with dried fruits. Think I could’ve had this one again some times. 120623

Bottle. A clear one, very dark brown with a reddish hue, and some light tan to dark beige bubbles forming a minimal sized head. The aroma is mostly roasted and caramelish, but there’s something chili like too. A very light chili burn in this one, medium body and pleasant carbonation. Coffee, roasted malts and some chili hints in the flavor. Quite dryish finish with some roasted malts. A decent one, but I’d like my chili porters more full-bodied and with a little bit more chili burn. Nice though. 120622

Bottled. Very deep brown colour, close to black. Small brigeish brown head. Aroma is liquorice, some alcohol, mild raisins, roast and maltyness. Flavour is really much the same. A bit thin mouthfeel, but otherwise a nice imperial stout.

Bottled 330ml (BB 11/2013)
Courtesy of bierkoning, tnx Edo! Pitch black color, good beige head. Toasted malty aroma with hints of licorice. Light-bodied. Ashy toasted malty flavor with hints of licorice. Not much chilli burn in my bottle. Just a nice light porter. Should have a bit more body anyway.
