Description
In 2010 zijn we begonnen met het brouwen op een 50 liter installatie die we geïmporteerd hebben uit Amerika, de zogenaamde “Brewmagic”. Door drie batches achter elkaar te brouwen hadden we een capaciteit van maximaal 150 liter per dag. Dat bleek al snel te klein.

Daarom zijn we vlot op zoek gegaan naar een grotere installatie en sinds 2012 brouwen we op onze 750 liter installatie. In 2019 hopen we ongeveer 25.000 liter bier te brouwen

Courtesy of bierkoning, thanks Edo! Dark ruby color, huge beige head. Aroma of berries, light hops and caramel (Wyest scotch ale yeast?). Medium to full bodied. Caramel, berries, some alcohol and bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. Yes, I would say that this is a Scotch ale. Decent winter warmer.

Courtesy of bierkoning, tnx Edo! Dark brown color, small brown head. Molasses, coffee and caramel in the nose. Medium-bodied. Licorice, light soya, caramel and toasted notes. Sweetish imperial stout.

[Thanks to bierkoning]. 33cl bottle. Black colour with a good formation of a light tan head with a nice lacing and a decent lasting. Aroma is toasty, with chili hints and roasty. Flavour is toasty, roasty, with a final slightly bittery, dry and smoky. Carbonation is low to medium. Body is medium.

33 cL bottle at Arendsnest. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a huge tan head. Aroma is roasted malty, light breadish. Dark malty. Sweet caramelish, toasted malty and breadish. Overripe fruity note. Light bitterness.

Bottle sample at PRNH Meibockfestival ’12. Clear amber colour, off white head. Aroma of light toasted malts, hint of flowers, caramel. Flavour is sweet, malty, honey, malty finish with some flowery notes, a bit nutty. Light to medium bodied, a bit fizzy mouthfeel. OK stuff.

[Thanks to bierkoning]. 33cl bottle. Black colour with a frothy tan head. Aroma is toasty and malty. Flavour has notes of toaste malts, licorice and dark chocolate. The aftertaste is slightly sweet and toasty. Carbonation is medium. Texture is oily. Medium to high body.

33 cl (from De Bierkoning) @ home. Almost black color. Head is mocha colored, firm, and quit long lasting, with some lacing. Aroma’s: roasted malt, ground coffee, a hint of ash and some fruit. Flavor is slightly sweet, roasted, a hint of acidity. Body is thin (well, at 4%), but not watery. Finishes with ash, some bitterness and maybe some warmth in the throat. Nice.

[Thanks to bierkoning]. 33cl bottle. Light orangish colour with a nice formation of an off-white head, huge, large, moderate lacing and good lasting,, sediments of yeast is present. Aroma is sweet, yeasty with hints of coriander and malty. Flavour is slightly sweet at the beginning, alcoholic, smooth on palate, bready and with a final moderate bittery. Carbonation is medium. Body is medium. Texture is oily.

[Thanks to bierkoning]. 33cl bottle. Brown colour with a large off-white head, good and easy formation, good lasting and lacing. Aroma is sweet, yeasty and slightly hoppy. Flavour is sweet, caramelish, toasty, alcoholic and a final with a decent bitterness. Carbonation is medium to high. Body is medium.

[Thanks to bierkoning]. 33cl bottle. Brown colour with a formation of one finger of a head with small bubbles, colour light brown and with a medium duration. Aroma has toasted malts notes, coffee and slightly red fruits hints. Flavour is toasty with a good duration and slightly sweet and coffee notes on palate. Carbonation is medium. Medium bodied with a oily texture.
