Bottle thanks to Dan. It pours black with a decent tan head. The nose is big coffee, rich, toasty, coffee, dark chocolate, charred stuff, honeycomb and some other tasty gear. The taste is smooth, toasty, earthy roast, coffee, mild acidity, cocoa, coffee cake, light spice and earth with a dry, coffee-driven finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Mighty decent.

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Daniel. Pours deep black-brown with a frothy beige head. Rich coffee aroma, slight green pepper, smoke, cigarettes. Light sweet flavor with harsh roast, torched wood, earth, espresso, burnt pine. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Dry finish, roasty, with more coffee, tobacco, earth, baking cocoa. Not bad.

Bottle 330ml (Firmabier)
Almost opaque black color, good creamy brownish head. Nose is mostly coffee. Soft-palate, medium to full-bodied. Front has chocolate, then lots of coffee, coffee beans. Bitterness and ash in the aftertaste. Interesting coffee bomb. Not really maybe black ipa but hoppy stout with lots of coffee.

Cask at ICBF15. Murky brown with no head, looks like dirty water. Aroma is pepper. Flavour is pepper and rye, oddly enough, tangy and spicy, odd stuff.

Bottle shared at chriso’s Easter 2015 tasting - London. Pours cloudy amber with a frothy off-white head. The nose holds bread, light spices, dry caramel. Medium sweet flavor with mellow marmalade, dried out caramel, grains. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Toasted grains in the finish, some leathery fruits. Eh, so so.
