Description
Yards has been brewing Philly's beer since 1994. We’ve grown from a garage-sized operation in Manayunk all the way up to our current location at 500 Spring Garden Street in Northern Liberties. And we couldn't have done it without your support through the years. Our beers always have and always will be brewed, bottled, kegged, and canned for the hard working people of Philadelphia and beyond.

16 ounce can. Hazy amber gold color. Robust, frothy beige head. Aroma is tropical, stone fruit and citrus. Flavor is bready malt, citrus and stone fruit. Think peach, apricot and pear. Madness is the first sign of dandruff.

Catching up on ratings - scores were recorded at the time but not detailed notes. This was in Philly as a stopover from Bermuda to Dublin....quite the stopover.

12 oz. can from Total Wine, Union, NJ. Pours a crystal clear dark caramel color with a beige head and very good retention. Good lacing. Faint caramel and leather aroma. The flavor is a mix of dark malt and caramel malt. Lightly sweet with no bitterness. Crisp mouthfeel. Light body. Clean and easy drinking. Simple and repeatable. Good light beer.

12oz can. Lemony hop aroma. Lemony hop flavor. Doesn't really drink like a NE IPA at all. A unique hop tone I suppose, but pretty much drinks like a sort of sloppy IPA. Herbacious. Drinkable but not that impressive.

12 oz. can from Total Wine, Union, NJ. Pours a pitch black color with a small beige head and good retention. Decent lacing. Roasted malt aroma. The taste is mild coffee and dark roasted malt and molasses, with a dry, chalky finish. Mild bitterness. Medium-heavy body. The 7.0% ABV is very well hidden.

Tropical, but the maltiness drowns it out as the beer progresses. Dumped the second half on the lawn.
