Aroma: This one had some spice, some orange/citrus notes, honey, and caramel
Appearance: This is an amber looking beer with a fairly small head atop it
Flavor: The taste is fairly malty, medium sweet, some spice presence
Palate: The body is medium with a decent mouthfeel and a light boozy feel to it
Overall Impression: I thought this beer was decent, but I'm a little surprised by how good these scores are. Honestly, I wasn't that impressed by this one. Jefferson should have stuck to public policy. I know it wasn't good, but I couldn't resist that joke.

A dark reddish amber ale with a thick creamy dark moka head. In aroma, light sweet caramel malt with herbal hops and cinnamon notes. In mouth, a nutty caramel, lightly roasted with nice fruity esters. Medium bodied. On tap at PA Flavor, April 9th, 2011.

Aroma: The aroma is light earthy, some hoppy notes, floral notes, and yeast
Appearance: The pour is a somewhat hazy light golden in color
Flavor: The taste is much like the nose with a light, yeasty, hoppy, and crisp flavor
Palate: The body is on the light side with a crisp and drinkable mouthfeel to it
Overall Impression: This was probably my favorite of the "Ales of the Revolution" series, but they were all relatively close I guess I would have been a common man as a beer drinker. Does that make this the BMC of late 1700s? Anyway, nothing spectacular, but a solid, crisp, and drinkable beer.

Aroma: The nose has some pine, toast, caramel, and a little grapefruit, fairly subtle overall
Appearance: It pours a cloudy orange color with an off-white head and some decent lacing
Flavor: The taste leans toward the bitter side, caramel malts laed into a pine hop bitterness
Palate: A nicely drinkable beer with a medium (leaning toward full) body and lively carbonation
Overall Impression: Overall, this isn't a bad one at all. Drinkable and solid. Fairly well balanced with a nice bitter presence. I'd drink this one again.

Appearance: The pour is a cloudy orange-brown with a small beige head, spotty lace
Flavor: Tastes fairly sweet with lots of caramel malts, some fruit, and an earthy/fruity hop finish
Palate: The mouthfeel is on the chewy side with a medium-full body and lively carbonation
Overall Impression: Overall, this is a pretty good ESB. It is certainly drinkable and has a nice hop presence to it. Solid stuff.

12oz bottle. Unfiltered brown-red. Solid off-white/beige head. Intense spruce aroma, kind of harsh. The taste, however, really works. Medium bodied, quite drinkable. Intense gingery spruce taste. Quite odd and unique, manages to make the bold flavors quite palatable. Not quite world class, as it is a little one dimensional.

Appearance: It pours a clear copper color with about a finger of foamy beige head
Flavor: The taste is much like you'd expect, malty, proper amount of sweetness
Palate: This one has a slightly tingly feel, a light-medium body, and a high drinkability
Overall Impression: My first rating from Yards, and that is a little surprising because I have definately had their beers before. Anyway, I can see why they would call this a good session ale, as it is quite sessionable. I enjoyed this one, it has a good flavor and feel, and it is something I could drink again for sure. It isn't a knockout, more like a scrappy puncher (I couldn't resist a boxing pun).

Draught at the brewery. Dark with a deep tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, cocoa, chocolate, light molasses. Medium, slick body. Nice sweet flavor. Chocolaty, sweet malts, lightly roasted, coffee, a touch of molasses. Real smooth, real nice.

Dark brown with a beige head. Aroma has nice roasted malts, chocolate, caramel, nice bourbon, too. Flavor starts with that sweet bourbon, then fades and let’s the lightly roasted malts, chocolate, molasses, and light earthy hops slide in. Finishes sticky and sweet. Real nice.
