Copper with an off-white head. Sweet malts, earthy hops, light pine, spicy aroma. Full, slick bodied. Can definitely pick up the fiery abv in this one. Malty, medium citrus and earthy hops, molasses, liquor in flavor. Pretty tasty ale.

Shaker Pint draft at Jet Rock bar and grill, Concourse B, Philadelphia airport. Pour is hazed copper brown with a smallish tan head. Aroma is nutty toasted malt and a crystal maltiness. Taste is the crystal malt up front, followed by the nuttiness. Very much about the malt, but smooth. As it warmed, there was a tiny hint of a diacetyl, but not too much for the style. Palate was thin to medium bodied, lowish carbobation and a clean mineral finish. Nice session ale.

Draft: Poured a caramel brown with a off white head. Aroma is malts and bubblegum. Taste is a very sweet malt and a rough gritty finish.

Bottle courtesy of MaltDawg on 04/12/2010. Mostly clear copper amber body with a medium creamy off-white head. Big spruce and caramel aroma. Big spruce flavor, lots of floral, light smoke, spice. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

Deep brown with a tan head. Aroma is of chocolate, caramel, molasses, and toasted oats. Silky smooth body. Flavor has burnt malts, cocoa, molasses, and oatmeal. Lightly sweet with a lightly burnt finish. A very nice porter that masks the 7% well. If I didn’t know the abv I’d go all night with this one...or at least till it finished me off.

Glowing blonde with a firm, lasting white head. Yeast, light banana, some clove, and other spices make up the aroma. Highly carbonated body adds a hefty bite on the tongue. Flavor is much like the aroma with a bit of lemon zest, as well. A solid saison that is quite refreshing. Wouldn’t hesitate to pick one up when in need of a saison.

Malty with a bitter hop bite upfront. Earthy, light pine, herbal, biscuit malts, with light fruits. Very much in the English style, it seems. Finishes much more malty and sweet than it begins. A nice alternative to the overly citrus hop bombs out there even if the sweet, nearly barley wine finish got to me after a while...

Leans to the citrus side of the pale ale spectrum. Light malts, a touch of caramel flavor (though not much), and bright citrus notes round it out. Fizzy body. A nice beer when looking for somehting light to pair with dinner or on a warm afternoon.

Deep brown with a nice tan head. Smooth bodied, nitro or firkin... nice mellow roasty malts and light caramel malts, too. Not an in your face stout, just relaxed and easy going. Very solid.
