Description
The Long Meadow is part of our farm which has been owned by the McKeever family for three generations. Through our stewardship, we have focussed on Bramley apple production, but each generation of our family has also had a policy of growing a mix of varieties and using different planting processes to further refine the apples we use. Each generation has passed on different methods and traditions to the next; from Peter (Senior) to Patrick to Peter (Junior) in order to grow and produce the perfect apples on our home farm. Our cider is pressed and fermented naturally by both father and son; Pat and Peter McKeever.

1/5/2024. Bottle shared by the Shropshire boys, cheers. Pours clear dark pink with a small bubbly white/pink head. Aroma is sweet, artificial, summer berries, hedgerow, sugary rhubarb, light honey, slight funky/mucky edge. Very sweet with a slight tart edge. Okay.

500ml bottle @ Jeremy's. Pours a reddish pink, sparkling. Aroma of hedgerow berries, which forms much of the character, very subtle honey and not a huge amount of rhubarb definition. Fine overall.

10th April 2024, mega Panda and tasting session with minutemat at my place. 500ml bottle from KWM Wines. Red/pink body with a rhubarb aroma and taste, sweetened by the honey influence.

Bottle at Conor's Bar & Lounge, Castle Leslie, 23/01/23.. Clear golden, carbonation evident, good sized white cap that retains as well as you'd expect for a cider. Nose is toffee apple, light funk, straw, apple skin. Taste comprises tangy apple, sugars, hay, light funky edge. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close. Decent well rounded cider.

500 ml bottle, from KWM Wines & Spirits. ABV is 4.5%. Clear and very pale golden colour, pours sparkling with a shortlived white head. Lovely and strong aroma of apple blossoms and various ripe apple varieties, some "spicy" hints. Medium sweet flavour of apples, hints of spices and smoke.

500 ml bottle, from KWM Wines & Spirits. ABV is 4.0%. Pink colour, pours sparkling with a shortlived head. Pleasant aroma of apples and rhubarb. Medium sweet flavour of apples and rhubarb, the honey has no doubt mellowed the rhubarb, but I could not single out the honey if I did not know that it was supposed to be there. Light bodied and refreshing.

5.5% - Rusty brown colour with some haze from the oak barrel. Nice full flavour. Juicy apple with just a little tartness. I expected more tannin effect from the barrel.
