Description
The Long Meadow is part of our farm which has been owned by the McKeever family for three generations. Through our stewardship, we have focussed on Bramley apple production, but each generation of our family has also had a policy of growing a mix of varieties and using different planting processes to further refine the apples we use. Each generation has passed on different methods and traditions to the next; from Peter (Senior) to Patrick to Peter (Junior) in order to grow and produce the perfect apples on our home farm. Our cider is pressed and fermented naturally by both father and son; Pat and Peter McKeever.

0.5l bottle. A crystal clear one. Not much of a head, only a bubbly white sidesticking film that fades quicker than I can pour. It smells nice though. Cinnamon and apples. Both slightly sharp green and the red sweet ones. Was expecting a sweet cloying bomb exploding in the nose but didn't get that. At all. It's not too sweet on the taste either actually, well, by that I men that its not TOO sweet cause it is on the sweeter side for sure. Lots of red apple though. Soft prickling and oily. Dry in the finish, earthy. After a few sips it grows quite sweet actually. Couldn't have too many of these in one setting. 21.11.2015

2016: 500 ml bottle, as Long Meadow Medium Cider, from Det Gode Brygg, Sandnes. ABV is 4.5%. Golden colour, moderately sparkling, thin white head. Strong aroma of oxidised cider apples and oak, hints of sulphites. Slightly sweet flavour, with notes of cider apples and sweeter eating apples, hints of oak and sulphites. Well balanced, enjoyable.
