Bottle thanks to RJ5020. Gusher on opening. Pours clear ruby mahogany, medium tan head that dissipates quickly leaving good lacing. Aroma is dark sugars, hay, some rubber, anise, coffee. Flavor is quite sweet, roasty, smoke and rubber plus dark sugars. Medium body, high carbonation. Eh. Probably sat on this too long...

sampled at Mad Anthony’s Oktobeerfest - The oak dominates the aroma of this hazy orange brew. The flavor is also heavy on the oak. Bitterness is high though not especially high for the style. I don’t know if I’ve ever said the wood is overdone in a beer, but it might be here. It’s still good. I just think it could be great with a little more hops character and less wood.

sampled at Mad Anthony’s Oktobeerfest - Pours clear gold with a white head. It smells of cereal malt and mild, earthy hops. It’s a mildly bitter tasting brew with grainy malt, a medium body, and some lingering bitterness. Well balanced and refreshing.
