Bottle from the source. Brilliantly clear deep golden color with a smattering of bubbles that rise to the surface for half a minute or so. Big mint and moderate lime on the nose with some sweet floral honey providing a back drop. Sweet flavor of honey with a mild lime and mint to counter. Seems sweet without much to provide any acidity or balance, but still quite tasty without any flaws.

Bottle from the Source. slightly hazy light golden color with a smattering of bubbles when first poured. Apricot, light vanilla, some sherry like oxidation and just a hint of cardboard and higher alcohols. Didn’t enjoy this one very much.

Bottle from the source. Brilliantly clear red orange in color with faint legs. Sweet floral and citrus honey with a light sweet berry on top. Seems a bit sweet like it needs a bit of tannin or something to counter it. Tasty beverage though.

Bottle from the source. Brilliantly clear deep golden color. Huge cinnamon on the nose with honey sweetness deep underneath. Sweet spicy cinnamon and sweet honey flavor is like desert in a glass. Pretty tasty mead.

Bottle from the source. Brilliantly clear pink tinged orange with a smattering of bubbles when first poured. Sweet light fruitiness on the nose with some faint floral honey to support it. Sweet berry and a light tartness with a semi sweet earthy floral honey flavor. Just barely semi sweet and pretty damn tasty in the subtleness of its flavors.

Bottle thanks to Tom. Pours a clear orange gold with no head. The aroma is oak, honey, spice, booze. Medium body, honey, spice, oak, strong booze finish, good.

On tap at Chuck's on 85th, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out notes of honey and acidic red apples. Flavour is huge, with honey, red apples and intense acidity. Wonderful blend of mead and cider. Finishes acidity and boozy, but in the best of ways. Very good. --- Beer merged from original tick of Thirteen 5 on 05 Aug 2018 at 04:09 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7.5. Original review text: Can sampled at Moonlight Meadery, pours a clear yellowish blonde with a tiny white head. Aroma brings out plenty of oak, with wild yeast and crisp apple skins. Flavour is both crisp and sweet, with light oak, some wild funkiness and medium sweet apples. The booze is certainly evidence, leaving its trace on the finish. Excellent.
